In and around Bright a series of picturesque 'shared path' bike trails have been established based upon the routes of the trains once coming to town. The Rail Trail passes by the door of Bright OnBike and offers a family friendly cycling option with minimal (or no) exposure to road traffic as well as a host of things to do and see along the ride.
The Murray to Mountains Rail Trail route extends from Bright all the way to Wangaratta via Porepunkah and Myrtleford on one side of town and it will soon extend to Harrietville in the other direction.
